Travel Season Info – Fall

Travel practices usually start the third week of July, with games starting the 3rd week of August. The fall season consists of 8 games (4 home / 4 away) and concludes during the 1st week of November.
No games are scheduled on holiday weekends.

General Info

• Travel soccer is for players U9 and older.
• Teams are organized based on player evaluations in the spring to determine teams for the following year.
• Our goal is to find an age/skill appropriate team for every player and to place that player’s team in the age/skill appropriate division within our league. As parents, the best thing you can do is recruit friends to play with SSC. If we have many players, we have many options for finding a team for every player.
• U9 and U10 play 7v7 games and teams typically have 10-12 players.
• U11 and U12 play 9v9 games and teams typically have 12-14 players.
• U13 and older play 11v11 games and teams typically have 14-18 players.
• SSC is a member of the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League (CPYSL). The league geography ranges from around 30 to 90 minute drive one way throughout South Central PA. Teams typically play four home games and four away games during the season. Individual teams may also go to an optional tournament or two during a season.
• Teams typically practice twice a week for 1.5 to 2 hours with a game on the weekend.
